Anganwadi workers protest against Punjab Government in Mohali
During their state-level protest against the Punjab government, Anganwadi workers stage a protest and raise slogans on YPS Chowk, Mohali here on Wednesday.
The members of Anganwadi Union stage protest against the policies of the state government led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, they also demanded a hike in their salary.
The protesting anganwadi workers said, "Captain sahab had promised workers during campaigning that the workers will get their due. He also said that if any government is not giving the right wage to the workers, it must be considered as a crime. Where are his own words and promises now?"
While some of them have fainted and have been taken to the hospitals, others are determined to raise their voice against the Punjab Chief Minster Captain Amarinder Singh and get their demands fulfilled.
'We are determined to walk to the CM residence even in the heat and stage protest', said another worker.
