Anil Chauhan is new Director General of Military Operations
Anil Chauhan is new Director General of Military Operations : Anil Chauhan, Lieutenant General, took over as the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO). He will be heading Military Operations of the nation.
Chauhan was commissioned into the 11 Gorkha Rifles in 1981. He has held several command, staff and instructional appointments during his career and has experience in counter-insurgency operations in Jammu and Kashmir and Northeast India. He was also server as a United Nations mission to Angola.
During his career, he has been awarded the Uttam Yudh Seva Medal(2018), Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, the Sena Medal, the Vishisht Seva Medal for his service. Chauhan is an alumnus of the National defense Academy, Khadakwasla and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
