Applied Emergency Brakes But Couldn't Stop in Time: DMU Driver Arvind Kumar, the driver of the Diesel Multiple Unit (DMU) train has given a written statement to the Railways authorities. He was the driver of the train that mowed at least 60 people to death near Jora Phatak area of Amritsar city on 19 October. The train was about to stop, people started pelting stones. For his passengers' safety, he didn't stop there and decided to move forward.
