Armyman, civilian killed in Kulgam encounter in J&K An armyman and a civilian were killed on Wednesday during an encounter with militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district, as per official reports. During the encounter two armymen were also injured. Security forces launched a search operation in the district’s Khudwani area on Tuesday night, after receiving information about the presence of militants there. They said a gun battle broke out between the militants and security forces in the early hours on Wednesday morning. Three security force personnel were injured in the initial exchange of firing, the officials said, out of which, one later succumbed to his injuries. The officials said a 25-year-old man succumbed to injuries at a hospital. -PTC News
