Chandigarh, October 15: #ArrestKohli hashtag is trending on Twitter since Saturday morning. As per information, a talk on cricket between two friends in inebriated state in Tamil Nadu turned deadly when one of them was stabbed to death by the other for making fun of his icon Virat Kohli and his Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) IPL squad. The incident was reported on the evening of October 11 near SIDCO Industrial Estate in Mallur, Tamil Nadu. Vignesh, a Mumbai Indian fan, criticised Virat Kohli and RCB, which infuriated Dharmaraj.
The police said Vignesh would often make fun of Dharmaraj’s stammering. On the day of the incident also, Vignesh made fun of Dharmaraj and even body-shamed him for his speech defect and compared that with Kohli and RCB’s performances, which led to a deadly fight between them. Dharmaraj allegedly attacked Vignesh with a bottle and then with a cricket bat. Later, he fled the spot.
