Arun Jaitley to be back to present Budget on February 1

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, who is currently undergoing treatment in the US, will return to India  on January 25 to present the interim budget on February 1, government sources told on Monday. According to government sources the Finance Minister will return on January 25 evening.

Arun Jaitely left for the US on January 13, for medical checkup relating to his kidney ailment. He had gone undergone a renal transplant surgery in May last year. There were some speculations that he may not return to present the budget. This budget will be his last before the general elections this year.

Recently, Jaitley gave a hint that it may not be a simple budget or vote on account, which is generally the tradition in an election year. The full budget is presented by the new government after the elections.
