Arunachal on Flood Alert After Landslide Creates Artificial Lake in China The flow of one of the China’s key rivers has been blocked by a landslide. Due to which a lake has been created that could endanger downstream areas in India, particularly Arunachal Pradesh. According to the media reports, Chinese emergency services have evacuated 6,000 people from that affected area. Also Read: Landslide near Hanogi Mata temple in Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district The local emergency response bureau said that a dam-like barrier on the Yarlung Tsangpo, the headwater of Brahmaputra River has been created. Arunachal authorities have issued an alert in the district that not to go near the river. District magistrate Tamiyo Tatak said that the water levels in the Brahmaputra River have fallen drastically. One the blockage is cleared in China; it would cause a disaster in India. It caused extensive damage in Arunachal Pradesh and other downstream areas in India. No deaths or injuries were reported. China has been in constant touch with India on this issue. -PTC NEWS
