Anjaw (Arunachal Pradesh), October 15: Two Arunachal Pradesh men from the state's Anjaw district have been missing since August when they set out in search of medicinal plants near the state's border with China. On August 19, both youths Bateilum Tikro (33) and Bayingso Manyu (31) left for Chaglagam in the Anjaw district along the Indo-China border, according to Rike Kamsi, Superintendent of Police (SP) of Anjaw district. On October 9, members of their family reported them missing to the local police station. "We have contacted the Indian Army and our search and rescue operation is also on," the Anjaw district SP stated. The labourers who were engaged in road construction in the district. In another case, the Chinese PLA reportedly captured Miram Tarom, a 17-year-old youth from Zido in Arunachal Pradesh, over the Line of Actual Control in January 2022. He was eventually released to India after the Indian Army contacted the Chinese Army and asked that the youth be returned.
