Arvind Kejriwal to take oath as Delhi CM on February 16
Arvind Kejriwal Oath Ceremony: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Chief Arvind Kejriwal, who returned to power in Delhi with magnificent win, will take oath as the Delhi Chief Minister for the third consecutive term on February 16 at Ramlila Maidan. On Wednesday, Arvind Kejriwal met Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal. The meeting took place at Lieutenant Governor's residence for around 15 minutes.
As per sources, the duo discussed the oath-taking ceremony. The Aam Aadmi Party chief will also meet party MLAs on Wednesday. Afterwards, the legislators will elect him as a leader of the legislative party. Aam Aadmi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal had a landslide victory, winning 62 of the 70 constituencies in Delhi Assembly. The BJP ended up with a single-digit score, 8 seats, but it improved its 2015 tally of three seats.
BJP MP Gautam Gambhbir took to twitter and congratulated Arvind Kejriwal. He wrote: "Congratulations to Arvind Kejriwal on returning as the Chief Minister of Delhi and all the winning MLAs. I want to assure him that development of Delhi and welfare of citizens will be the top priority for everyone!"
Meanwhile, Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh said, "Shri Arvind Kejriwal ji. Many congratulations on the huge mandate given to you and the Aam Aadmi Party by the people of Delhi. May you continue to the good work Sir."
