Assembly elections news 2022 Highlights: As elections in five states — Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Manipur — draw near, the political dynamics in all states are getting even more interesting.
All the parties are working day and night ahead of elections in their respective states. The political parties have started announcing Chief Ministerial candidates, filing nominations, and forging alliances.

Amid a surge in Covid-19 cases, the Election Commission of India on Saturday extended the ban on physical rallies and roadshows till January 31.
