Assembly Elections 2022 Highlights: As the Assembly Elections 2022 for Goa, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, and Uttarakhand are nearing, the process of announcing party candidates is almost concluding. On the other hand, the process of filing nominations has commenced. Talking about Punjab polls, the high voltage political clash seems to have started with the announcement of SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia who will fight against Punjab Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu from Amritsar East. It will be interesting to see the two high-profile leaders take on each other. Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia will contest the Punjab Assembly elections 2022 against State Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, said SAD chief Sukhbir Singh Badal on Wednesday. The elections in Punjab are scheduled to take place on February 20, the results of which will be announced on March 10.
