Australian and French Frigates seize 1015 kg of Heroin in Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean
Australian and French Frigates seized 1015 kg of Heroin in the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean respectively on Monday. The Royal Australian Navy frigate HMAS has seized over 2.1 tonnes of hashish and 345 kilograms of heroin in two different operations in the Arabian Sea.

The Australian Navy intercepted hashish and heroin on January 28 and 29 as a part of operation Manitou.
Meanwhile, the French frigate seized 670 kg of heroin in the Indian Ocean. French frigate docked at a military port in Mumbai last week. It intercepted 670 kg of heroin in the Indian Ocean on January 31.

Briefing the media, France’s Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler said that France is committed to the security of the Indian Ocean. It is a common goal which is shared between India and France.
