Ayodhya verdict: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday welcomed the Supreme Court judgement on the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case. Rahul Gandhi said, "The Supreme Court has delivered its verdict on the Ayodhya matter. We should respect the court verdict and maintain social harmony. This is the time to maintain brotherhood, trust and love amongst all Indians."
Likewise, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, "The Supreme Court of India has given its verdict on the Ayodhya issue. Respecting this decision, all parties, communities and citizens should maintain our culture of centuries-old society. We all have to strengthen mutual harmony and brotherhood together."
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said, "Today's day will be written in golden letters in the history of India. Everyone has accepted the verdict. I will be going to Ayodhya on 24 November."
Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the citizens of India. He said in a tweet: "The calm and peace maintained by 130 crore Indians in the run-up to today’s verdict manifests India’s inherent commitment to peaceful coexistence. May this very spirit of unity and togetherness power the development trajectory of our nation. May every Indian be empowered."
