Azlan Shah Hockey: Malaysia edges out Canada in the last pool game The host Malaysia scored an exciting 3-2 win over Canada in the last match of the round robin league in the 28th Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament in Ipoh on Friday. Tomorrow both the teams will face each other again, this time for the bronze medal. Interestingly the last league match witnessed goals through penalties, as three of five goals came through penalty corners and the decisive match winning goal through a penalty stroke. All the goals were scored in the 23 minutes.

The outcome of the game, like the earlier game between India and Poland, did not alter the pool standings. Japan and Poland will fight it out to avoid wooden spoon.
