Bajwa writes to PM Narendra Modi, demands strict action Former Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President and Rajya Sabha member, Pratap Singh Bajwa, has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding strict and immediate action in case of defacing of a Sikh statue in the United Kingdom. Also, controversial messages were strewn over the statue and its body. “It is sheer disheartening to see that a memorial has been vandalized within a less than a week of its unveiling. The message that it sends out to the Sikh Diaspora in the UK and Sikhs back home is extremely troubling. I request you to take up the matter with the Foreign Office of the United Kingdom with the utmost emergency,” reads out the letter sent to PM Narendra Modi.
