"Balika Vadhu" allegedly committed suicide, boyfriend taken into custody
TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee, known for her role of adult Anandi in the popular serial "Balika Vadhu", allegedly committed suicide here on Friday, police said. The news has left the industry shocked.
Pratyusha hanged herself from a fan at her Kandivali residence but was detected and taken to the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital where she succumbed.
Confirming the news, Mumbai police spokesperson Dhananjay Kulkarni said that the hospital has sent a report on the Jamshedpur-born actress's death.

Police are investigating the probable cause death that may have spurred Pratyusha to resort to take extreme step.
There are no concrete details yet, whether Pratyusha hanged herself to death this morning because of certain issues in her personal life.
She was dating Rahul Raj Singh but later they were having problems in the relationship.
