Bargari: Four dera men granted bail in derogatory poster case 

Punjab news: In a major setback to the Special Investigation Team (SIT), a Faridkot court has granted bail to four Dera Sacha Sauda followers --- Sukhjinder Singh, Ranjit Singh, Shakti Singh and Baljit Singh --- who were booked for pasting posters containing derogatory remarks about Guru Granth Sahib in the Bargari village gurdwara in September 2015. They are facing charges under Sections 117 and 128 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The court order has paved the way for the release of the accused from jail anytime soon. Already declared proclaimed offenders (POs), they had instructed dera men to put up posters containing derogatory remarks near the Bargari gurdwara. According to the SIT, two such posters were pasted near the Bargari gurdwara on the intervening night of September 24 and 25, 2015, by the accused dera followers on their directions. The breakthrough was achieved after the forensic analysis of the handwriting of 10 suspects was checked. -PTC News
