Bathinda: Father, along with 3 children, commit suicide
In a major heartbreaking incident, a father committed suicide along with his three children in Hamirgarh village in Bathinda district on Thursday. The incident took place in Hamirgarh village near Bhagta Bhai Ka.
It has caused a wave of shock in the area. As soon as the incident was reported, the police rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation.

According to the information, the deceased father has been identified as Beant Singh who belonged to a poor family. His wife, identified as Lovepreet Kaur, had died some time back.

Beant was taking care of his three children Prabhjot Singh (7), Arash Kaur (3), and Khushi (1).
It is been reported that after the death of his wife, Beant Singh was mentally disturbed about taking care of his children. He was unable to take care of his children and support them after the death of their mother. The three children were also upset and used to cry often.
Therefore, Beant Singh hanged his son Prabhjot Singh, daughter Arash Kaur and Khushi to death on Wednesday night and committed suicide himself.
As soon as the incident was reported, DSP Phool Jasveer Singh along with a heavy police force rushed to Hamirgarh village in Bathinda and inspected the incident. He has also questioned close family members of deceased Beant Singh.
