BCCI: Sri Lanka to tour India for T20 series in January

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Sri Lanka Cricket have announced the schedule for the forthcoming Sri Lankan tour of India in January 2020. The Lankans will play a three-match T20 series against India. This came in the wake of Zimbabwe’s suspension by the ICC. BCCI invited Sri Lanka to participate in the three-match T20 series, the advisory said. Sri Lanka has also confirmed participation. https://twitter.com/BCCI/status/1176820972218748929?s=20 India will take on the visitors in the first T20 match of the forthcoming series, which is scheduled to be played on January 5, 2020 in Guwahati. The second T20 is to be played on January 7 in Indore and the final at Pune on January 10, 2019. Currently, India is preparing for the Test series against the Proteas, who recently leveled the T20 series 1-1. The first Test match is scheduled to be played at Vishakhapatnam from October 2, 2019. Sri Lanka is playing its ODI series against Pakistan. The first ODI is to be played on Friday in Karachi.
