Ben Stokes' father critical, player to miss training session
England all-rounder Ben Stokes will have to miss the training session ahead of the upcoming Test match against South Africa as his father Ged is critical, the England Cricket Board (ECB) said in a statement on Tuesday. Ben Stokes’ father was admitted to a hospital on Monday in Johannesburg, following a serious illness. Therefore, the player will not be a part of the training session on Tuesday. Ben Stokes had played some phenomenal innings in 2019 as he played a match-winning knock of 135 runs in the third Ashes Test to guide England to one-wicket victory over Australia at Headingley.
