Beware of Online Shopping! Man ordered Almira from Pepperfry worth Rs 10,000; No order delivered

As India is turning towards Digitalization, online shopping has raged speedily among the users. One-click and you can buy anything at home. However, sometimes, this ease of doing shopping turns into trouble, seemingly, your order hasn't been delivered while you have made your payment online, before the delivery. Though some of the online portals are having Cash on Delivery option, people believe in the digitalization, noting, that they are having the bills and order details. Well, one such case has been coming under the notice, where a man was deceived over the order made on the online store company PepperfryA man ordered an Almira [Apollo Book Case in Honey Brown colour by RoyalOak] online from Pepperfry on June 28, who promised that the order will be received shorty. The victim is a resident of Patiala, Punjab. Meanwhile, the whole payment Rs 10,000 was done online, while placing the order. The online furniture selling company gave the date of July 18 as the delivery date, which means the exact 22 days of delivery time.  [caption id="attachment_322989" align="aligncenter" width="543"] This was the Mail received by Pepperfry on June 28.[/caption] It is pertinent to mention that no order was received on the given date by Pepperfry. Though several mails were sent, calls were tried, the company didn't respond. Yeah, Pepperfry sent a mail, but on July 26, mentioning, "It will be delivered to you between 18-07-2019 and 22-07-2019, although No Delivery was made so far.
