On the occasion, Majithia also welcomed several Congress and AAP leaders into the party fold. At the same time, the SAD leader hailed a massive turnout at Kisan Mahapanchayat in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, on September 5.
He said leaders cutting across political lines should come under the same banner to fight for the cause of farmers, who have been staging protests at the Delhi borders since November 26, 2019, seeking the repeal of the three farm laws.

He said the huge turnout at the Kisan Mahapanchayat was the testimony to the fact that the farmers were ready for a long haul and would not end their agitation till the 'black' farm laws were repealed. Bikram Singh Majithia said the farmers’ movement, which had been going on for nine months for its existence, had demonstrated the strength of communal harmony and unity.
