BJP legislator leads protest against 'momos', demands ban
The protest against the popular street food "momos" was led by a BJP legislator today. He demanded ban on its sale.
BJP MLC, Ramesh Arora, started a campaign and compared the dumplings with drugs and alcohol. He claimed that the momos were more harmful than alcoholic products or psychotropic drugs.
Some religious leaders were also present at the moment along with the crowd of over 100 people. The activists carried an effigy written with various slogans. Considering "momos" as silent killer or the cause for slow and painful death, the activists raised slogans against the same.
Giving warning about the dangerous health implications caused by "momos", the BJP MLC demanded the complete ban on suck kind of street food.
"I will continue to campaign for it till the government of India and the state government take a call to ban its sale. It is killing our young generations," he said. — PTI
