Smriti Irani in Amethi helped women and took her to the hospital in her own convoy ambulance. Earlier, BJP MP Smriti Irani lent a shoulder to the mortal remains of her close aide shot dead in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. This incident came after few days of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 results. Likewise, Smriti Irani before Lok Sabha Elections 2019 turned into a firefighter. Smriti Irani on April 28, 2019, stopped her convoy to help the locals by joining fire-fighting efforts at Purab Dwara village in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh.
In a video from the village, Smriti Irani was seen filling buckets using a hand-pump and escorting her party workers and villagers to douse the fire. Smriti Irani in Lok Sabha Elections 2019 garnered a lot of votes and defeated Rahul Gandhi with a mandate due to her work on the ground level. Smriti Irani got 468514 votes while Rahul Gandhi got 413394 votes. Hence, Smriti Irani defeated Rahul Gandhi by 55120 votes in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh.
