Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan tests positive for coronavirus
Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the actor said on Saturday.
The actor took to Twitter and wrote: "I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests, results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !"

Meanwhile, he has been admitted to the Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. His family has been tested while the results are awaited.

The coronavirus cases have been rising in the country. The total number of coronavirus cases has increased to 8,20,916 out of which 2,83,407 active cases, 5,15,386 cured and discharged while 22,123 died due to coronavirus, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
