Dhaka : Former British Prime Minister David Cameron has said that the Brexit would not affect bilateral relations between the United Kingdom and Bangladesh. "There would be no change in this relationship due to Brexit," Dhaka Tribune quoted Cameron as saying while paying a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday. He also expressed confidence that the bilateral relations between the two sides would continue to grow. "There are win-win relations between the two countries and the ties would continue to grow," he said. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina stressed on resolving the issue of cargo plane ban from Bangladesh and said a British company has been appointed for security management of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Cameron expressed hope that the issue of cargo plane ban would be solved soon. He also noted the big contributions of Bangladeshi diaspora to the UK's economy. Cameron arrived in Dhaka yesterday on a whirlwind maiden visit. Cameron, who is currently holding the post of chairman of International Growth Centre, will join a roundtable of IGC. The IGC is a research centre based at the London School of Economics and Political Science in partnership with the University of Oxford. —ANI-
