Bring truth about Bikramjit’s involvement in blast before people to allay apprehensions that he is being framed – Prof Chandumajra Anandpur Sahib MP and senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Prof Prem Singh Chandumajra asked Congress chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh to bring the complete unquestionable truth about the involvement of Dhariwal resident Bikramjit Singh before the people of the State to allay apprehensions raised by residents of his village that he was being framed in the case. In a statement here, Prof Chandumajra said earlier also history had recorded that the Congress trampled upon innocents and implicated them in false cases which led to two decades of turmoil in the State. “There should not be any doubt about the intentions of the government in solving the Amritsar hand grenade blast case with villages of Dhariwal emphasizing that Bikramjit, one of the alleged assailants,  was tilling his fields when the blast occurred. This raises a question mark over the entire investigations and now the Punjab Police is duty bound to give irrefutable proof to the villagers that Bikramjit was involved in the bomb blast case”. Stating that the SAD believed in the supremacy of the law and wanted it to be applied strictly for everyone, Prof Chandumajra said the government must allay the apprehensions of villagers of Dhariwal immediately. “The chief minister should immediately form a high level team to inquire into the points raised by the villagers and verify their statements”. The Anandpur Sahib MP said the State must proceed against anyone only after reasonable proof, stating mistakes earlier had cost Punjab dear. “Any unjust action against the youth is bound to invite counter-reaction as we have seen in the past. The Congress government trampled with the rights of innocents to achieve its political motives in the past. It should not do anything which gives the impression that it is pursuing the same policies again”, he added. - PTC News
