Brooklyn shooting: 13 injured, multiple unexploded devices found at subway station
New York, April 12: Multiple people were shot at a subway station in Brooklyn, New York on Tuesday morning, according to reports. The attack occurred during the rush hour on Tuesday at the Sunset Park 36th Street stop. According to the reports, fire personnel responding to a call of smoke at the 36th Street station in Sunset Park found multiple people shot. "At 8h27 police responded to a 911 call of a person shot in the subway in Brooklyn," a New York City Fire Department spokesperson said. Further, as per the media reports, at least 13 people have been injured during the shooting incident and multiple unexploded devices were found at the subway station. More details were not immediately available. Urging people to avoid the site of the incident, the New York Police Department on Twitter said, "Due to an investigation, avoid the area of 36th Street and 4th Avenue area in Brooklyn. Expect emergency vehicles and delays in the surrounding area." As per the latest reports, the suspect was wearing a construction vest and a gas mask. The violent incident heightened simmering public-safety concerns that have hampered New York City's efforts to recover from the Covid-19 outbreak. Moreover, Transit officials informed that trains on the D, N and R lines would be delayed due to an unspecified investigation.
