Budgam Encounter, Jammu and Kashmir: A gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Budgam district in Jammu and Kashmir, here on Friday. According to the sources the police along with the security forces surrounded Checkpora locality in Nowgam area of Budgamn district in Jammu and Kashmir. They surrounded the area after receiving the information about the presence of the militants in the area. The hiding militants fired at the security forces while they were conducting the search operation. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1144577329118830594 Hence, an encounter took place and the firing stopped after hours of the encounter. In an encounter in Budgam, a body of one terrorist has been recovered and identified as Zarar from Pakistan. Zarar was affiliated with proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed. Likewise, the security forces have recovered arms and ammunition and a case has been registered. https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1144434614896943105 The militants and the security forces have been in the tussle since the Uri Attack, which was the heinous attack in the decades, to which India retaliated through the first ever Surgical Strike in Pakistan. The Indian forces replied this with the first ever IAF Air Strike in Balakot Sector in Pakistan.
