Budget 2019: Finance Ministry Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday proposed the relaxation in the FDI for sectors in media, aviation, insurance, and single-brand retail to attract more foreign investment. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in her budget speech said that India's FDI in 2018-2019 grew by 6 percent to USD 64.37 billion. In a Budget 2019 speech, Nirmala Sitharaman said that she proposes to further consolidate, the gains in an order to make India more attractive in term of FDI. Also, Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government will examine suggestions of further opening up of FDI in aviation, media, AVGC (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics) and insurance sector. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the 100 percent of foreign direct investment (FDI) will be permitted for insurance purposes while locals will be eased for FDI in the single-brand retail sector. Not only this, but the Bahi Khata has several other proposes for the welfare of citizens. Nirmala Sitharaman in red folded Bahi Khata brought several things for farmers, people in Urban areas as well as the rural areas.
