Punjab Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu has been adamantly appointed as Power Minister on Wednesday, though he is yet to take charge for the same. After few days of Cabinet reshuffle, Navjot Singh Sidhu was appointed as the Power Minister, but he didn’t accept the ministry. The rift between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is not ready to cool down. Navjot Singh Sidhu was earlier serving as the Minister of Local Government, Tourism, Cultural Affairs, and Museums of the State of Punjab.
Though Navjot Singh Sidhu hasn’t taken charge as the Power Minister, his nameplate has been changed as Navjot Singh Sidhu, Power Minister. Meanwhile, there were several posters which have been slated in Mohali, Ludhiana and other areas of Punjab. The posters were slated due to Navjot Singh Sidhu’s statement in which he said he will quit politics if Rahul Gandhi will lose Amethi constituency in Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
Navjot Singh Sidhu mentioned Smriti Irani as not a tough competition for Congress President Rahul Gandhi. Congress party is currently facing an era of rifts. While Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu is having a rift with Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, likewise, Rahul Gandhi is adamant on quitting as Congress President. Meanwhile, Sonia Gandhi along with Priyanka Gandhi and other senior Congress leaders are trying to convince him to not quite as Congress President.
