COVID -19: Canada extends restrictions on international travel

In an order to contain the spread of COVID-19, Canada is extending its restrictions on international travel and mandatory 14-day quarantines for those entering the country. The government said that the orders will be extended for at least another month. Public Safety Minister Bill Blair in a Tweet stated that "Our government is extending the existing restrictions on international travel to Canada by one month - until September 30, 2020 - to limit the introduction and spread of COVID-19 in our communities." Blair also said that "Canadian citizens and permanent residents returning to Canada will continue to be subject to strict quarantine measures." Who can enter Canada?

Only those can travel to and enter Canada if they are Canadian citizens, a dual Canadian citizen with a valid Canadian passport or special authorization, a permanent resident of Canada, a person registered under Canada’s Indian Act, and a protected person. Also, the foreign nationals, including the United States (US) citizens, can travel to Canada only if they’re eligible. Here is the full list of exemptions.
