Capitol Hospital and BBC Hear Care Jalandhar, Jointly organized a CME program, “Capitol Summit-2019” under the aegis of The Punjab Medical Council on February 03, 2019 at, Jalandhar.
The CME was an updated review in the killer quartet of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, renal disorders and cancer.
Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga, Civil Surgeon, Jalandhar attended the event as the Chief Guest
Dr Harnoor Singh Pruthi, Director Medical, Capitol Hospital gave the inaugural welcome address and deliberated the key objective of the event.
Dr. (Maj. Gen.) Charanjit Singh, Director Cardiac sciences, BBC Heart Care, highlighted the present paradigm of large disease burden by cardio-metabolic, cardio-renal aliments along with cancer and scientific program was accordingly made.
Dr Ranga Rao Rangaraju Sr. Medical Director, Max Superspeciality Hospital, New Delhi States that “Combined Modality Treatment (Surgery, Chemo, Immuno, Radiotherapy) should be given to cancer patients.
Dr A.K.Dewan Director Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institution, New Delhi highlighted the killer Disease Cancer.and said ” cancer is a preventable tragedy.
The CME was attended by the members of Punjab Medical Council and Large numbers of doctors from Punjab and adjoining states took an active part in the event.
Speakers for the CME subjects were the experts from the elite institutions of the country like PGIMER, Chandigarh, Apolo Hospital-New Delhi, Max Super Specialty Hospital-New Delhi, Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute-New Delhi, Army Hospital Research and Referral-New Delhi.
