Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has extended warm greetings to the people of Punjab on the eve of the sacred ‘Kabir Jayanti’ with a call to emulate the teachings of the great saint of the ‘Bhakti Movement’.

Bhagat Kabir ji’s philosophy on the oneness of God, love, peace and universal brotherhood are more relevant than ever before, he said, urging one and all to imbibe the ideals promoted by the spiritual poet, whose inscriptions in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji continue to inspire millions even today.

In his message on the occasion, the Chief Minister described the ideology of Bhagat Kabir ji as a beacon of light for humanity, which will enable the world to move out of the dark abyss of suffering and pain into a brighter future. His teachings, said Captain Amarinder, will show the way to people around the world to lead a happy life of purity, righteousness and contentment by following a path of divinity and morality, and rising above the parochial considerations of caste, colour, creed and religion.
