CBSE board exams 2021: In line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has provided a major relief for Class 10 and 12 students as the students will now get a chance to appear for improvement papers in the same academic year. However, it has been restricted to only one subject, the CBSE said. As per the previous norms, students who wanted to appear for improvement exams had to wait for one complete year. The Ministry of Education took to Twitter and wrote: "In alignment with the vision of NEP 2020, CBSE will allow students of Class 10 and 12 to appear in the improvement exam in the same year. However, this will be restricted to only one subject." The CBSE circular stated that the permission would be made available to the candidates appearing in CBSE board exams 2021. If any student wants to improve performance in any one subject, he/she may again apply in the Compartment Examination for appearing to improve their performance, a report stated. The rules will come into effect from CBSE board exams this year, which will commence in May. The development has been brought under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
