Ceasefire violation : A soldier lost life in Mendhar sector of Kashmir : A 25 years old Indian Army soldier Chandan Kumar Rai lost his life in ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the Line of control in Mendhar sector in Kashmir’s Poonch on Sunday. Indian Army said that they retaliated strongly and effectively after Pakistan initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of mortars, small arms and automatics.
Rai was injured during retaliation and succumbed to his injuries at the military hospital here. He hailed from Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli district and is survived by his father. Sunday is the fourth consecutive day of shelling by the Pakistan Rangers in civilian areas and border outposts.Sepoy of 23 years was killed in a ceasefire violation by Pakistan rangers in Krishna Ghati of Jammu & Kashmir sector along Line of Control. According to the information, Sepoy Mandeep Singh belonged to Alampur village in Punjab. In another incident , on Friday, 11 civilians got injured in various areas of Jammu and Kashmir as Pakistan violated ceasefire along the LoC. Two civilians were injured in the ceasefire violation in Ramgarh sector, five in Hiranagar sector in Kathua and four in RS Pura sector in the Valley.
