Huge blast at Paris bakery kills four, seriously injures 20
A powerful explosion at bakery killed four people and injured 20 others on Saturday morning in Central Paris. The explosion blew out dozens of windows after a suspected gas leak. More than 210 firefighters were deployed to fight the fire that broke out after the blast and to rescue the people. The paramedics, police, and disaster management team, also rushed to the spot to help the residents in the area.

The police closed off streets in front of Opera theatre. The emergency services landed two helicopters in the street. The blast took place around 9:00 am. It was heard by residents and workers several blocks away.

According to the media reports, the firefighters already responded to the gas leak complaint at the site when the explosion took place. The intensity of the blast was so much that cars were overturned and glass and rubble were scattered across the street.
