Chandigarh: 26-year-old student killed in hit-and-run case

A 26-year-old student was killed in a case of the hit-and-run near transport light point, Sector 26, Chandigarh, on Wednesday. The incident took place when an unknown motorcycle driver hit the victim's bike. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against the accused biker and have started further investigation. Also, the deceased has been identified as Shubham, who was the resident of Pinjore, Panchkula. As per reports, Ashish Sharma, who is a resident of Manimajra stated that he was going to his college in Sector 46, at around 9 am, when the accident took place. He also stated that he saw a bike driver hit the victim's bike and fled away. As the collision took place, Shubham got several serious injuries, and hence, he rushed to the spot, reported Ashish. Furthermore, he stated that he rushed him to the GMSH- 16 with the help of a car driver and informed the police.
