Chandigarh International Airport: No flights between 12 and 26 February : No flight will operate between February 12 and 26 from Chandigarh International Airport as the up gradation work on its runway begins.
The closure of the Airport for two weeks will affect the average daily rush of about 4000 passengers.
According to the official spokesperson, ‘it is a short-term inconvenience caused in view of the airport’s capacity building expansion. The flights will resume on February 27.’
As many as 28 flights are operated from here including three international flights to Dubai, Sharjah, and Bangkok. On the domestic circuit, the 10 flights to Delhi account for the maximum passenger rush.
