Chandigarh Murder Case: In a heart-wrenching incident, a two-and-a-half-year-old boy died on Monday after his mother stuffed a glove in his mouth and stored him in a bed box at her house in Burail, Sector 45. The woman has been identified as Roopa. She was missing on January 25 and the body of a toddler was found lying in the bed box by the victim's father, Dasharath. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case of murder against Roopa at the Sector 34 police station. Also, the police have arrested Roopa. The police said that Dasharath returned home from work on January 25. He works as an electrician at a private hospital. Dasharath found both his wife and son Divyanshu missing. He searched for them in the nearby areas, but did not find them. publive-image The next day, Dasharath lodged a missing complaint at the Burail police station. According to the information, Dasharath was taking out a blanket from the bed box in the evening, he found his son lying in it, with a glove stuffed in his mouth. Immediately, he pulled the child out and rushed to his friend's shop at Burail. The police received the information about the incident around 8:50 pm on Monday. Likewise, Dasharath filed a police complaint against his wife accusing her of murdering his son following which a case was registered against Roopa. The woman has been arrested on Tuesday. As per report, Dasharath married Roops in 2016 and a year later, Divyanshu was born in 2019. Another child named Komal who was also born in 2019. The police also stated that Roopa was not happy with her marriage and hence there were major differences in between the couple. -PTC News-
