Coronavirus: Chandigarh's Sector 30-B now out of containment zone

While most of the recent cases of coronavirus in Chandigarh are being reported from the Bapu Dham Colony in Sector 26, the Administration has decided that there is no need to further continue the Zone containment practices and protocols in Sector 30-B. Meanwhile, the Administration has declared the removal of Sector 30B from the containment zone with the stipulation that the regular screening and monitoring of the area by the medical teams will continue. However, the families from the proximity of House number 1650 i.e. H.No. 1649 and 1651 (all the floors, approximately 31 persons in these three houses) should be shifted to the institution quarantine centers as an abundant caution. Meanwhile, the vacant houses will be sanitized and kept our of the human contact till the time the shifted families would return. It also stated that the order will come into force with immediate effect. Currently, the total number of coronavirus cases in Chandigarh now stands at 304. The parts of the Bapu Dham colony that were exempted include Pocket No. 2, 3, 9, 17, 18 and 19. -PTC News
