Chant Hanuman Chalisa to tackle unseasonal rains, says leader

Unseasonal rains and hailstorms have damaged crops in Madhya Pradesh's Sehore over the last few days. And the cause of stress at the moment is that the rain will continue for the next three to four days minimum, as per scientists. Instead of providing better ways to grow crops and save the environment, a Bharatiya Janata Party leader suggested farmers to chant mantras as that can help tame nature. “Scientists have predicted that nature's fury would continue for another four to five days. It will rain accompanied by hailstorm. One way to tackle this is to chant Hanuman Chalisa,” Ramesh Saxena, former BJP MLA from Sehore, said. “It's my appeal to all farmers that every day, for one hour for the next five days, read Hanuman Chalisa,” Saxena added. He said with confidence that if farmers in every village chant Hanuman Chalisa for one hour every day, then we will be able to tackle this nature's fury. While the intention of the BJP leader may have been to help the farmers, what he has actually suggested is raising questions. In this age when the youth are motivated to have a scientific temperament, the BJP leader's appeal to them to chant Hanuman Chalisa to tackle natural phenomena is unmatchable. -PTC News-
