Charanjit Channi, Navjot Sidhu ‘useless’, Cong will be wiped out in Punjab, says Amarinder Singh
Punjab Assembly elections 2022: Punjab Lok Congress supremo Captain Amarinder Singh on Sunday slammed Navjot Singh Sidhu and Charanjit Singh Channi and said that Congress will be wiped out from Punjab in the ongoing polls.
The former Congress leader and Punjab CM is contesting from Patiala seat and said that he is confident of winning from his home turf.
"I am certain of winning Patiala. I think we will win the elections... They (Congress) live in a different world & will be wiped out in Punjab,” said the Punjab Lok Congress chief.
"Over 30% voter turnout has been recorded till 1 pm, which is a good sign," he added.

Capt Amarinder further said "In Patiala and the neighbouring seats, we expect a big win. What else do we need if the BJP-PLC and Dhindhsa's party are getting such a positive response?"
Further targeting Congress, Amarinder Singh projected that the party will only win 20-30 seats in the Punjab Assembly elections. "They (the Congress) are worried about what I'm able to accomplish in Punjab, which is going against them. I can predict that Congress will not get more than 20-30 seats," he continued.
Captain also attacked his arch-rival PPCC head Navjot Singh Sidhu and incumbent Punjab CM Channi. Terming them “useless," Amarinder Singh said “What is Charanjit Channi? Is he a magician that in 3 months he can perform miracles in Punjab?. Giving all the credit to try to make him a hero before the elections...I think both (Channi and Navjot S Sidhu) are useless."

The voting for the 117-seat assembly in Punjab has begun.
Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Shiromani Akali Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party alliance and Bharatiya Janata Party-former chief minister Amarinder Singh's Punjab Lok Congress party are all major players in this multi-cornered election.
