Officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence busted a gold smuggling racket, arresting two Korean women at the Anna international terminal in Chennai on Saturday.

The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence Officials seized 24 kg gold , worth Rs 8 crore in international market during the operation.

According to a police official , the air intelligence unit personnel of the department intercepted the passengers who had arrived from Hong Kong.

During interrogation, they revealed that they had concealed 12 gold bars weighing in their inner garments.
