Chief Electoral Officer Punjab seeks panel of officers from Punjab Government

The bye-election to the Gurdaspur parliamentary constituency will be held on Oct 11, the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced on Tuesday. The last date of filing nominations is September 22 and counting of votes will take place on October 15. Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab today sought panel of officers from Punjab government to fill various posts which are vacant in Gurdaspur parliamentary constituency. Disclosing this here spokesman of Office of Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab said that for the smooth conduct of Gurdaspur Lok Sabha byelection, there is need to fill some post vacancies on immediate basis. These posts are - SDM Dharkalan and SDM Dera Baba Nanak. He further said that Office also sought panel of three officers for the post of AETC Gurdaspur as incumbent Rajwinder Kaur Bajwa belongs to Gurdaspur. Office also sought panel of three officers for the post of Tehsildar to fill the vacant post of Tehsildar Dharkalan. -PTC News
