China Executes Farmer For Attacking Kindergarten Children With Knife
China has executed a farmer on Friday who attacked several children with a knife in Southern China two years ago. The accused, identified Yan Pengan, slashed several kindergarten children in January 2017 with a kitchen knife.
Yan Pengan attacked twelve children and 4 of them were seriously injured. A school teacher then fended off the attack and called for help as Yan fled the scene. He later surrendered himself to a local hospital. Knife attack targeting school children are common in China.
In October 2018, a 39-year-old woman, armed with a knife, injured 14 kindergarten children in China. She slashed and stabbed the teacher in a school in the southwestern city of Chongqing. The suspect attacked 3-year-old children when they were returning from morning exercises with their teachers at 9:30.
All the injured kindergarten students were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The suspect has been identified only by her surname, Liu. The police has arrested the women. The motive behind the attack was unknown. According to the social media reports, the woman had some grievance against the government.
