India’s journey in China Open started on a sour note with ace shuttler PV Sindhu losing to Pornpawee Chochuwong of Thailand, albeit after a closely fought match. Sindhu lost to Chochuwong 21-12, 13-21, 21-19 in a nail-biting 58 minutes.
