CM condoles death of senior scribe Darshi's mother Avtar Kaur
Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Mrs. Avtar Kaur(82), the mother of senior journalist Devinderjit Singh Darshi, who passed away here at Private Hospital on Friday evening after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband, two sons and two daughters. Describing Mrs. Avtar Kaur as a pious soul, the Chief Minister said that she played a pivotal role in shaping the destiny of her children by inculcating high moral values amongst them. Sharing his heartfelt condolences with the members of the bereaved family, Captain Amarinder Singh prayed to the Almighty to give courage to bear this irreparable loss in this hour of grief and grant eternal peace to the departed soul. Meanwhile, Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. BIS Chahal and Media Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Raveen Thukral also deeply condoled the passing away of Mrs. Avtar Kaur. —PTC News
