According to the Indian Metrological Department (IMD), Chandigarh, capital of Punjab and Haryana recorded the season’s coldest night at 3.4 degrees Celsius. This temperature is two degrees below the normal. Also, dense fog disrupted the normal life in the region. In Himachal Pradesh, despite clear and sunny weather, spine-chilling cold is being experienced during the day. Kalpa and Manali received fresh snowfall. Kullu district administration has issued a warning for the tourists and locals ahead of the bad weather. The administration warned them not to trek or go to the higher places of the district.
