CM Condoles passing away of wife of Punjab Ex-Governer BKN Chhibe
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh today expressed profound grief over the demise of Rama Chhiber wife of Punjab ex-Governor Lt. Gen B.K.N. Chhiber. Rama Chhiber, who died at the age of 78, is survived by her husband, a son and a daughter. Sharing his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family, the Chief Minister said that Mrs. Chhiber was a great philanthropist and social reformist, who, as First Lady of Punjab, was actively engaged in working for the underprivileged sections of the society, especially in and around Chandigarh, during her husband's tenure as Governor from 1994 to 1999. Captain Amarinder Singh also prayed to the Almighty to grant strength to the family members, friends and relatives to bear this irreparable loss and grant eternal peace to the departed soul. _PTC News
